First prototype developed by Lemmih nov 04. Hackage is a layer on Cabal and provides an easy way to search Haskell packages and related meta-information. Hackage extracts useful information from a Cabal description-file and stores it in a central public database. The information is used by a lambdabot hackage module, and soon by cabal-get also.
